More Than Just Treatment

During treatment, patients can relax and enjoy the HD television while chatting with Dr. Mike about everything from the USC Trojans to hiking, family, and everyday life. Patients are always welcome to share their own stories, too. Sometimes a little conversation, a few laughs, and a familiar atmosphere can make a dental appointment feel less like a trip to the dentist and more like catching up with a friend.

A Welcoming Office for the Whole Family

It’s not just Dr. Mike who makes DDS Dental a relaxed and welcoming place to receive dental care. Our entire team shares his easygoing approach and takes pride in creating a warm, comfortable experience for every patient.

We understand that visiting the dentist can be difficult, especially for children and families. That’s why we’ve designed our office to feel less clinical and more like a comfortable, familiar place where you can relax.

Comfortable From the Moment You Arrive

While you wait, children can enjoy books and toys, while adults can browse magazines or simply take a moment to unwind.

From the warm colors and welcoming décor to the little details throughout the office, we’ve thoughtfully created an environment designed to help ease the anxiety that can sometimes come with visiting the dentist.

We especially enjoy caring for children and families, and our team works hard to make patients of all ages feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.

Your First Visit

One of the things Dr. Mike enjoys most is personally welcoming new patients to the office. He likes to introduce himself, show patients around the office and treatment rooms, and help them become familiar with their surroundings before treatment begins.

Understanding Your Dental Health

At your first appointment, we will take X-rays to assess your overall dental health: jaw alignment, tooth alignment, and whether there is decay or other health concerns. We will also go over your medical history with you to determine the best course for your dental health and a care plan to keep you healthy and smiling bright. While going over your medical history, we will be able to account for procedures and techniques that you may need or that he may need to avoid depending on your health, medication compatibility, and any concerns you might have about your dental care.

Regular Checkups for Continued Oral Health

After your first appointment, Dr. Mike will recommend a follow-up schedule based on your individual dental needs. Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining your oral health and preventing small problems from becoming bigger ones.

Regular Dental Checkup Overview

During each checkup, we evaluate the overall health of your teeth and gums and update your dental records so we can monitor changes over time. Our dental hygienist will thoroughly clean and polish your teeth, evaluate your gum health, and look for areas that may need additional attention. We also check for concerns such as loose or damaged fillings, signs of tooth wear, grinding or clenching, and other changes that may affect your oral health.

Prevention Through Education

We believe regular dental visits are about more than simply cleaning your teeth. They are an opportunity to understand what is happening in your mouth and learn how to prevent future problems.

Every patient is different. Your diet, oral hygiene habits, stress, clenching or grinding, and other factors can all affect your teeth and gums. During your visits, we take the time to discuss what we see, answer your questions, and explain recommendations so you can make informed decisions about your dental care.

The Importance of Regular Dental Checkups

Regular checkups allow us to identify potential problems early, when treatment may be simpler and more conservative. More importantly, they give you the knowledge and tools to take an active role in maintaining your oral health.

Our goal isn't simply to treat dental problems—it's to help you understand your oral health, prevent future problems, and keep your smile healthy for years to come.

Care That Grows With Your Family

Whether you are coming in for a routine visit, need treatment for a dental emergency, or require more comprehensive dental care, our goal is simple: make quality dental care accessible, convenient, and centered around you.

Our doctors and team are committed to quality dental treatment, patient education, comfort, and personalized care.
